Dr. Amit Weiner (Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance): „Between film music and contemporary concert music“
Internationally renowned Israeli composer and concert pianist Amit Weiner will present his works for the concert stage and his music for film and television. Working with leading orchestras and contemporary ensembles as well as with major labels such as Warner Music Group, his highly unique music crosses the boundaries between genres. Amit Weiner has made an international career as a composer and a concert pianist. His music has been performed at festivals and in concerts in China, Europe and all over the US, including New York‘s Carnegie Hall. His oeuvre includes over 50 chamber, vocal and orchestral works. Dr. Weiner also serves as a professor of composition and Head of the Cross-Disciplinary Composition Division at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. This presentation includes a performance by Amit Weiner of two pieces of his Anagram cycle of 12 pieces for solo piano (2012-14):
